Here you see Richard Sanchez and Sam Lukens taking the sign base apart. It was in horrible shape, most of the stone was rotten from being back filled with top soil, instead of drainage rock. We salvaged a lot of it and recreated the base with boulders as an addition.

Richard is taking the wall apart.. the big stones in the foreground are the boulders that we placed in the wall base.

This wall is 125 feet long and 2 feet high and retains an embankment which now hosts a sculpture garden for the Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery.

Here you can see the far end of the wall near the Blacksmith Shop in Stowe, VT.

This is a patio built for Stowe Craft Gallery Design Center in Stowe, VT. It was complicated by needing to lay flush with the existing frost heaved brick walk way and the three town water mains that came up through what used to be a garden. I put drainage pipe against the building which drew out the water which was pouring right into the basement through cracks in the foundation.

My friend Chris Jones, owner of the Warren House Restaurant at Sugarbush, Warren VT, and I built this little sign base in Stowe in one day.

It was almost night time in the middle of the summer when we finally finished the sign base.
