Two Feet

Stowe, Vermont to Barnstaple, England; Suzhou, China to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Our feet can channel our creativity as well as our hands.

Spirals are integral to my theory as much as they are to my stone work. In these pieces I'm spontaneously working with raw impressionable materials, as though drawing on the earth with a light impermanent touch.

I highly support hard work for a beautiful product. The goal behind the snow pieces in particular, was to enhance the experience of the morning for any passer-by. My aim was to complete these before most of the community woke up. I often succeeded at being untraceable to such a degree the local Stowe Reporter received four phone calls about, "the mysterious patterns appearing again in the fields around Stowe Village." Not alien mischief, just Alvin.
